Short Tenure, NDA, What to Put on the Resume. A discussion happening on parwcc.com

Stephanie Hiedemann: I am looking for advice concerning a client who was let go of a recent job after only 2ish months of employment. He had to sign a nondisclosure agreement. We are not including this position on his resume. My question: is he obligated to include this job on an application that a company might require him to complete? It seems like expectations for employment history might be more strict than what an applicant chooses to include on a resume. On the flip side, could he face any ramifications for omitting it?

>> Cindy Wilder: From an HR perspective and a fellow resume writer, I would say no he is not obligated to include it. But he should be prepared to explain the gap in employment should it come up.

>> Stephanie Hiedemann: My client and I have already practiced together how he would respond to questions about the employment gap. Good to know that he can leave/omit the job.
