Hi! I am new to this group but loving the discussion and information i have found so far! I am planning on going for the CPRW certification and wondering what others did to prep for this. I've worked in HR for 20 years and have a good handle on resumes and enjoy writing them. I'm looking to formalize this interest and hope to start to work on the side by becoming certified. Just curious about the experiences others have had in preparing for the certification. Thanks!

I found the Members for Members video "Navigating the CPRW" (July 2021) very helpful in knowing what to expect for the CPRW exam. You can find the video in Quick Links->Video Library.

I'm in the same boat prepping for that certification! Following your thread :) I watched the videos Teresa noted. They were helpful but more overviews than nitty gritty resources. Personally I've been pulling candidate samples and job targets online and writing just how the test prompts. I've had others in my life grade my work based on the rubric provided. While they aren't pros, I feel like they're impartial enough to give me honest feedback.

I'll note that I didn't have any experience with resume writing so I signed up for John Suarez's Fundamentals of Resume Writing course. Once I got through that I asked all my friends and neighbors if I could practice rewriting their resumes (most said yes!). Then I watched the video I mentioned and signed up for the CPRW.
