Lumen Agents, LLC is a boutique career coaching consultancy whose clients span the globe and include college students and entry- and mid-level professionals. Lumen Agents prides itself on partnering with clients and taking a hands-on approach to facilitate their career success.

The Writing Team at Lumen Agents is looking to add a Writing Coach who has experience crafting résumés, cover letters, and other documents for clients in myriad industries and at all career stages. LinkedIn expertise is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:

-Meeting with clients one-on-one (Zoom or phone) to excavate their experience, goals, and skills; using that information to build unique, powerful career marketing collateral (résumés, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles).

-Researching industry trends and advising clients on nuances relevant to their particular career experiences (e.g., freelance résumés, design portfolios).

-Deploying expert grammatical skills and knowledge of résumé standards/structure to enhance each clients’ documents.

-Working alongside Lumen Career Coaches, incorporating their feedback and insights to finalize clients’ documents.

-Cultivating dedicated relationships with each client to build the trust, rapport, and familiarity that facilitates fruitful collaboration.

-Providing ad hoc writing assistance to clients outside of usual career marketing collateral (e.g., crafting emails or proposals).

-Working extensively in the Google Workspace platform, particularly Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets.

The Ideal Candidate:

-Intellectually facile; enjoys working with a diverse client portfolio spanning a range of industries and experience levels.

-Dedicated to achieving client satisfaction; a self-starter who can drive a project from start to finish.

-Able to manage (sometimes tight) deadlines for multiple projects and remain aware of relevant application windows.

-Maintains a flexible calendar and is responsive to clients’ queries.

-Thrives in and appreciates intergenerational interpersonal relationships.
